I purchased an extended warranty plan (American Guardian)
Enroute to Arizona, we lost the transfer switch in Bakersfield, CA. It was Friday noon when I called AG to see if a mobile service was acceptable..they said yes..but to be sure they were legitimate. The mobile service arrived about 2:30 pm, and by 3:00 had diagnosed the power failure as a faulty transfer switch. By that time the AG offices were closed, so I opted to have the repair done and pay for it myself, as we were due in Palm Springs for tight reservations the next day. The owner said he would call in and get authorization Monday morning, and forward the paper work to AG so they could reimburse me. The bill was $456. I eventually had to send the original signed service order to AG and at that time they promptly issued me a check for $406, which represented payment in full, less the deductible. My coach is presently in the shop with a leaking heater core, which will be covered under the program as well.
I am well satisfied with the coverage and service from both you and the insurer, I think it's essential that a person carry extended warranty coverage on these new RV's due to all the electronic components which mere mortals can't fix with a screwdriver anymore.
